Privacy Policy — WBGT Monitor

WBGT Monitor (“the app”) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the app uses and how.

Summary

The app does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking across other apps or websites.

Location

With your permission, the app accesses your device’s location — or a location you enter/search manually — solely to retrieve local weather conditions and calculate the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) for that place.

• Your location is used on your device and is not stored by us or associated with your identity.
• You can decline or revoke location access at any time in the iOS Settings app; you can still use the app by searching for a location manually.

Information sent to third parties

To provide its core function, the app sends the following to third-party services. These providers receive only the data needed to fulfill the request and are governed by their own privacy policies:

• Open-Meteo — geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) are sent to retrieve weather forecast data. See: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
• Apple MapKit — when you search for a place, your query and related location data are processed by Apple to return search results and place names. See: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

No names, email addresses, device identifiers, or other personal identifiers are sent with these requests.

Data retention

The app does not maintain servers and does not retain your location or any personal data. Any location data exists only transiently on your device to display current conditions.

Children

The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
